This Jwell 3-layer sheet extrusion line was manufactured in 2020 and installed in 2021. Jwell is a well-established Chinese manufacturer of extrusion machinery and complete extrusion lines, with a broad range of equipment for processing thermoplastic materials. Jwell extrusion technology is used in various applications, including plastic sheets, films, pipes, profiles and other extruded products.
This 3-layer extrusion line is designed for the production of plastic sheets from PP and (LD)PE materials. The line is equipped with three extruders with screw diameters of 120 mm, 65 mm and 65 mm, all with an L/D ratio of 35:1. The die has a width of 900 mm, while the maximum web width after trimmed edges is 750 mm. Material thickness can be produced in a range from 0.3 to 1.5 mm, with a maximum stated output of 400 kg/h.
The extrusion line features hydraulic screen changers and Ferlin Gravimix gravimetric dosing units. Thickness measurement is provided by a Scantec system, allowing for control of sheet thickness during production. The line also includes corona treatment.
The finished sheets are collected using a stacked-sheet rewinding/stacking system. Additional equipment included with the line consists of a metal detector, silicon coating unit, corona treatment and a Truse 1-colour printing unit with UV drying.
