Reifenhauser cast extrusion line

This Reifenhauser 3-layer film extrusion line, manufactured in 1992, is a versatile extrusion system suitable for the production of a range of flexible packaging films. Reifenhauser is a well-established German manufacturer known for its extrusion technology and equipment for plastics processing and film production.

The line is designed for 3-layer film extrusion and is equipped with three extruders featuring 90 mm, 70 mm and 50 mm screws. The screws have L/D ratios of 30:1, 25:1 and 25:1 respectively, providing a configuration suitable for processing different polymer materials. The machine can produce films with a maximum web width of 1600 mm and has a maximum output of up to 450 kg/hour.

The  extruder is suitable for processing materials including CPP, PP, LDPE and HDPE, making it applicable to various flexible film applications. It is equipped with an active isotope/X-ray scanning system for thickness measurement, allowing continuous monitoring of film thickness during production. A corona treater is also installed for surface treatment of the film, which can improve the suitability of the film for subsequent printing or laminating processes.
