The Bobst Rotoextruder 400F is an extrusion coating and laminating machine designed for the production of flexible packaging materials. Bobst is a well-established manufacturer of equipment for the packaging and converting industry, with a broad range of machinery for printing, coating, laminating, extrusion and related processes.
This 2018 Bobst Rotoextruder 400F is equipped with two automatic turret unwinders, each suitable for reels up to 1,000 mm in diameter. The machine features a water-based primer coating unit with rotogravure application and is configured for three-layer production.
The extrusion section is equipped with two screws with diameters of 100 mm and 80 mm, both with a 30D L ratio, and a die width of 1,700 mm. The maximum web width is 1,300 mm, while the maximum mechanical speed is 400 m/min.
The machine can process a range of flexible packaging substrates. Materials specified for the primary unwinder include BOPP, PET, PA, OPA, PE, paper and lamination materials. The second unwinder can handle aluminium foil, BOPP, PET and PE within the specified material thickness ranges.
The Rotoextruder 400F is fitted with a Doteco gravimetric dosing unit, thickness measurement, edge guides and a corona treater. It also features inline lamination and inline slitting with edge suction. The finished reels are handled by an automatic turret rewinder for reels up to 1,000 mm in diameter.
