In the 70’s they started producing their first machines. In the past fourty years Nordmeccanica produced coaters, laminators and printing presses. Nordmeccanica is part of the Northmeccanica Group. Originally the company was based in Italy. Nowadays they have production plants in Italy, the United States and China.

Laminators 
Laminating is invented to strengthen fragile paper. Nowadays laminating is used on a wide variety of products, from glass to film. Laminating is a technique where a meterial is produced in multiple layers. The goal is to achieve more strength and stability or to protect the product. Lamination is permanent. Lamination in the flexible packaging industry is assembled by adhesives.

The first lamination machines for the flexible industry were invented in the 1970’s.
