The W&H Varex is a blown film extrusion line manufactured by Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H), a well-known German manufacturer of machinery for the flexible packaging industry. W&H has a long history in the development of blown film extrusion technology, with its Varex series designed for the production of plastic films used in a wide range of packaging applications.
This used W&H Varex extrusion line was manufactured in 1995 and is configured as a 3-layer blown film line. The extrusion section is equipped with three screws with diameters of 70 – 90 – 70 mm. The line has a die diameter of 630 mm and can produce film with a maximum web width of 2600 mm.
The W&H Varex is suitable for the production of films with thicknesses ranging from 15 to 250 µm. The maximum specified output is 600 kg/hour, making this line suitable for industrial-scale film production. The winding section is configured for double winding of flat film and can accommodate rewind reels with a maximum diameter of 1000 mm.
The extrusion line is also equipped with a corona treater, which can be used to improve the surface properties of plastic film and its suitability for subsequent printing, coating or lamination processes.
Used W&H Varex blown film extrusion lines can be of interest to flexible packaging manufacturers looking for established extrusion technology for the production of plastic films. The combination of 3-layer extrusion, a maximum web width of 2600 mm and an output of up to 600 kg/hour makes this W&H Varex an interesting option for a variety of film production applications.
